Job Description
Basic education care givers , BSC students , GNM
Good communication skills, especially in the local language and/or English
Experience assisting with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing and toileting
Availability to work flexible shifts, including night or 24-hour care if needed
0-2 years of experience in caregiving
Must be located within a commutable distance to Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
Should know at least 2 languages
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Care and Medical Monitoring
-
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of the patient’s physical and mental health.

Administer medications, injections, IV therapy, and wound care as prescribed by the physician.

Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and medical equipment, and report any changes in the patient’s condition to the doctor.

Assist in managing chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and post-operative care.
2. Personal Care and Daily Living Support
-
Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance.

Provide catheter care, colostomy care, or tube feeding when required.

Encourage physical activity, hygiene, and nutritional intake suitable for the patient’s condition.
3. Health Education and Emotional Support
-
Educate patients and family members on treatment plans, medication management, nutrition, and lifestyle changes.

Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and caregivers.
-
Support end-of-life care for terminally ill patients in palliative or hospice situations.
4. Care Planning and Documentation
-
Collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including care notes, medication logs, and progress reports.

Ensure all nursing interventions and assessments are documented in accordance with healthcare standards.
5. Infection Control and Safety
-
Follow best practices for infection control, hygiene, and use of PPE during patient care.

Ensure a safe environment for the patient and family, identifying risks and taking preventive measures.

Educate caregivers on proper handling of medical equipment and patient care procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
-
Diploma or degree in Nursing (GNM / B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing) from a recognized institution.

Valid nursing license or registration from the local nursing council or regulatory authority.

0-2 years of nursing experience in clinical, hospital, or home care settings (freshers with training can be considered).

Good knowledge of medical terms, procedures, infection control, and basic first aid.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with elderly or bedridden patients.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and respond to emergencies.

Basic computer or smartphone skills to update care logs and reports, if required.
