Job Description
Job Summary:
The Home Visit Physiotherapist is responsible for providing professional physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services to patients at their homes. The role involves traveling to patient locations, evaluating physical conditions, designing personalized therapy plans, and educating patients and caregivers on exercises and injury prevention. This position demands excellent clinical skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment & Treatment

Conduct detailed physical assessments to diagnose mobility issues, pain sources, and functional limitations.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient history, clinical findings, and rehabilitation goals.

Perform physiotherapy treatments such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, and mobilization techniques.

Monitor patient progress and modify treatment protocols accordingly.
Home Care & Patient Education

Provide clear instructions and demonstrations of exercises for patients and caregivers.

Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, ergonomics, posture correction, and injury prevention.

Advise on the use of assistive devices and support equipment if necessary.
Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

Communicate effectively with referring physicians, healthcare providers, and family members.

Report any significant changes in patient condition or complications promptly.
Travel & Equipment Management

Manage travel schedule efficiently to cover multiple patient visits per day.

Carry portable physiotherapy equipment safely and ensure its maintenance.

Adhere to infection control protocols during home visits.
Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT/MPT) from a recognized institution.

Valid license or registration to practice physiotherapy.

Minimum years of clinical experience preferred; home care experience is a plus.

Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and geriatric rehabilitation.

Proficiency in manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and electrotherapy techniques.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Empathy, patience, and ability to motivate patients.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transport (preferred).
