Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Hospital Pharmacist to join our medical team. The hospital pharmacist will be responsible for preparing, dispensing, and managing medications while ensuring safe and effective pharmaceutical care for all patients. This role is critical in maintaining compliance with healthcare standards, preventing medication errors, and supporting the clinical team in optimizing treatment outcomes.
A Hospital Pharmacist must have sound knowledge of pharmaceuticals, dosage guidelines, interactions, and storage. The position also requires strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff.
Dispense medications to inpatients and outpatients as per the prescription.
Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy, proper dosage, and appropriate administration.
Monitor drug therapies for interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
Maintain proper storage, labeling, and inventory of pharmaceutical supplies.
Provide drug information and advice to doctors, nurses, and patients.
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, drug safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
Manage and maintain records of controlled substances and narcotics.
Assist in procurement planning and vendor coordination for medicine supply.
Participate in ward rounds and clinical audits, as required.
Train junior pharmacists and interns when needed.
