Job Description
BHM degree + Minimum 2 to 4 year Experience
Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic Instruction:

Deliver lectures and practical training in core hotel management subjects, particularly:

F&B Service (Restaurant operations, bar management, banquet service, menu planning, service styles, etiquette).

Front Office Operations (Guest handling, reservations, check-in/check-out procedures, PMS software, concierge services).

Teach additional modules such as Housekeeping, Food Production, Hotel Accounting, Hospitality Law, and Human Resource Management, depending on departmental needs and teacher’s expertise.

Design and implement lesson plans that meet the academic requirements of the institute or affiliated university.
2. Practical Training:

Conduct practical sessions in training restaurants, mock reception counters, and labs to ensure students are industry-ready.

Organize simulation exercises, role plays, and workshops that reflect real hotel operations.

Guide students during internal and external practical examinations.
3. Curriculum Development:
-
Assist in developing and updating the curriculum to keep it aligned with current industry trends and standards.

Collaborate with academic boards and industry professionals to integrate modern technologies and international best practices into the syllabus.

Create teaching materials, manuals, and assessment tools.
4. Student Mentorship and Assessment:

Evaluate students through written tests, oral presentations, practical demonstrations, assignments, and project work.

Maintain records of student attendance, performance, and behavior.

Provide academic and career counseling to students and assist them in preparing for interviews, internships, and hotel placements.
5. Industry Interface and Training Support:
-
Coordinate with hotels and hospitality companies for industrial training, internships, and placement opportunities for students.

Guide and assess students during their on-the-job training or internships.

Invite guest speakers, industry professionals, and alumni for seminars and workshops.
6. Academic Administration:
-
Participate in departmental meetings, staff briefings, academic audits, and institutional events.

Prepare and submit lesson plans, student feedback reports, examination results, and internal evaluation documents as per institutional standards.

Assist in accreditation processes, academic inspections, and quality assurance reviews.
