Job Description

Position: House Watchman
Location: Hyderabad
Job Type: Full-time / Live-in (if applicable)
Working Hours: 12 hours shift / 24-hour stay (based on arrangement)
Salary: ₹10,000 – ₹18,000 (negotiable based on experience and duties)

Key Responsibilities:

Surveillance and Monitoring
- Maintain a continuous watch over the property and its surroundings.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and boundaries of the property to deter trespassers and intruders.
- Observe security camera feeds (if applicable) and respond to unusual activity.
- Conduct periodic patrolling of both the interior and exterior of the property, including garages, gardens, and outbuildings.
Access Control
- Monitor and control the entry and exit of visitors, service personnel, and delivery agents.
- Maintain a visitor logbook or digital entry system, noting names, time of arrival/departure, and purpose of visit.
- Ensure that all visitors have permission to enter and are escorted or directed as necessary.
Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to alarms or disturbances on the property.
- Take appropriate action in the event of fire, theft, or medical emergencies.
- Notify law enforcement, emergency services, or the homeowner in case of any significant incidents.
- Assist in evacuating residents during emergencies, if required.
Property Maintenance Oversight
- Check for any signs of structural damage, leaks, electrical faults, or plumbing issues.
- Report and document any maintenance concerns to the homeowner or property manager.
- May be asked to coordinate with maintenance workers, cleaning staff, or contractors when work is being performed on the property.
- Perform light maintenance tasks as directed, such as changing light bulbs, turning on/off irrigation systems, or checking smoke detectors.
Routine Checks and Housekeeping Support
- Secure windows, doors, gates, and other access points during the night or when the home is unoccupied.
- Inspect appliances, heating, air conditioning, and security systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Water indoor and outdoor plants, feed pets (if requested), and perform other minor household duties during the homeowner's absence.
- Collect mail, newspapers, and packages to maintain the appearance of occupancy when residents are away.
Record Keeping and Reporting
- Maintain daily activity logs detailing all significant occurrences, observations, or interactions.
- Report any suspicious activities or unusual occurrences to the appropriate authority or the homeowner.
- Prepare incident reports when necessary.
