Job Description

Position: Security Guard
Location: Hyderabad
Job Type: Full-time / Live-in (if applicable)
Working Hours: 12 hours shift / 24-hour stay (based on arrangement)
Salary: ₹10,000 – ₹18,000 (negotiable based on experience and duties)

Monitor and guard the residential premises at all times.

Check and record all incoming and outgoing visitors.

Ensure all gates, doors, and locks are secured properly.

Handle basic tasks like switching lights on/off, calling authorities in emergencies.

Patrol the premises periodically to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.

Maintain a visitor log and delivery record.

Receive parcels or letters, if instructed.

Key Responsibilities:

Surveillance and Monitoring
- Monitor the assigned premises regularly to identify any potential security risks or unauthorized activity.
- Use surveillance systems (CCTV) where applicable to oversee multiple areas simultaneously.
- Conduct routine inspections of doors, windows, gates, and fences to ensure they are properly secured.
- Keep a watchful eye on people entering or leaving the premises to ensure no suspicious or unlawful behavior occurs.
Access Control
- Manage and control access points to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Check identification, badges, or visitor passes to ensure only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.
- Maintain a visitor logbook or digital access system, recording details such as names, entry times, and the purpose of visits.
- Assist in directing guests or employees and provide general information as needed.
Emergency Response and Incident Management
- Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, accidents, or emergency situations such as fire, medical incidents, or security breaches.
- Alert emergency services (police, fire department, or medical personnel) and provide them with necessary assistance and information.
- Help evacuate people safely during emergencies and guide them to secure areas.
- Administer basic first aid if trained and required.
Crime Prevention and Conflict Resolution
- Deter criminal activity such as theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access through visible presence and timely interventions.
- Monitor suspicious behavior and investigate disturbances while avoiding escalation when possible.
- Confront violators in a professional manner, using non-violent tactics to resolve disputes.
- Detain individuals suspected of criminal activity, when authorized and appropriate, until law enforcement arrives.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare daily security reports and incident logs detailing patrols, inspections, and significant events.
- Document observations, issues encountered, and actions taken during the shift.
- Report unsafe conditions, maintenance needs, or broken security equipment to the appropriate authorities or supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records for insurance and legal purposes if required.
Support Services and Additional Duties
- Assist in crowd control during events or emergencies.
- Escort individuals safely within the premises, especially during late hours or in high-risk areas.
- Support law enforcement or emergency teams with directions and logistical help when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including mail delivery, checking lighting, or light maintenance tasks.
