Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning & Sanitation Duties
-
Clean rooms, corridors, restrooms, lobbies, stairways, and other work areas
-
Sweep, mop, scrub, dust, and polish floors, furniture, and surfaces
-
Empty trash bins, change garbage bags, and dispose of waste hygienically
-
Sanitize frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, switches, handles, etc.
2. Room Preparation (Hotels, Hospitals, Guest Houses)
-
Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and toiletries
-
Restock amenities like soap, tissue, and drinking water
-
Check rooms for maintenance needs like faulty lights or plumbing issues and report them
-
Ensure all guest rooms and service areas meet quality and hygiene standards
3. Public Area & Office Maintenance
-
Maintain cleanliness in reception areas, offices, conference rooms, and staff areas
-
Vacuum carpets, clean windows, and sanitize high-traffic zones
-
Maintain proper air fresheners and cleanliness in washrooms
-
Assist with cleaning tasks before and after meetings or special events
4. Laundry Assistance (If applicable)
-
Collect, wash, dry, iron, and fold linen or uniforms
-
Track laundry inventory and report wear and tear or damage
-
Assist in separating soiled laundry and managing clean stock
5. Supplies & Inventory
-
Use cleaning materials and tools responsibly to avoid wastage
-
Inform the supervisor when cleaning stock or supplies need replenishment
-
Maintain cleaning equipment in working condition and report any damage
