Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeping Attendant to join our facility management or hospitality team. The role involves performing cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure that guest rooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times.
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a good understanding of cleaning techniques, and a customer-friendly attitude. This is a hands-on role that contributes directly to the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of guests, patients, or employees.
Key Responsibilities
1. Room and Area Cleaning

Clean guest rooms, patient rooms, or assigned areas according to company standards and protocols.

Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and amenities.

Dust furniture, clean windows, sweep/vacuum floors, and mop surfaces as required.

Disinfect bathrooms, sinks, toilets, and other high-touch areas.

Empty trash cans and dispose of waste appropriately.
2. Common Area and Facility Maintenance

Maintain cleanliness of corridors, lobbies, staircases, elevators, and public restrooms.

Ensure high standards of hygiene in reception areas, staff rooms, and waiting areas.

Assist in cleaning meeting rooms, banquet halls, gyms, or kitchens as instructed.

Monitor and report any maintenance issues (e.g., damaged furniture, lights, plumbing problems).
3. Guest or Patient Assistance (for hospitality and healthcare)

Respond politely to guest or patient requests for extra towels, toiletries, or room cleaning.

Provide information or refer to the front desk for inquiries outside cleaning duties.

Maintain privacy and confidentiality, especially in hospitals or guest rooms.

Report lost and found items immediately to the supervisor or security team.
4. Inventory and Supply Handling

Maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and linen in housekeeping trolleys.

Inform the supervisor when items are low or need restocking.

Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and mops.

Follow safety instructions while handling chemicals and cleaning agents.
5. Safety, Hygiene, and Compliance

Adhere to workplace safety procedures and use protective equipment when required.

Follow infection control guidelines in healthcare environments or during cleaning emergencies.

Sanitize frequently touched surfaces, especially in high-traffic areas.

Report any hazards, accidents, or unusual incidents to the supervisor immediately.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum qualification: 8th or 10th pass (preferred)

Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry supplies for long hours

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision

Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning tools and equipment
