Job Description
Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning Guest Rooms:
-
Make beds and change linens daily or as needed.

Dust all surfaces including furniture, windowsills, and light fixtures.

Vacuum carpets and mop floors.
-
Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, bathtubs, and mirrors.
-
Replenish toiletries, towels, and other guest amenities.
-
Remove trash and replace trash liners.
-

Maintaining Public Areas:
-
Keep hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairwells, and restrooms clean and tidy.
-
Clean windows, doors, and other surfaces regularly.
-
Monitor cleanliness throughout the day and respond to issues promptly.
-
Restock supplies in public restrooms.
-

Laundry Duties (If Applicable):
-
Collect and transport dirty linens to laundry areas.
-
Operate washing and drying machines.
-
Fold, sort, and deliver clean linens and towels.
-

Stock and Inventory Management:
-
Replenish housekeeping carts with necessary supplies before each shift.
-
Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and linens.
-
Inform supervisors when stock is low or equipment is damaged.
-

Guest Interaction and Service:
-
Greet guests in a friendly and respectful manner.

Respond to guest requests or complaints promptly and professionally.

Report any lost and found items to the supervisor or designated department.

Maintain confidentiality and privacy of guests at all times.

Room Inspection and Reporting:
-
Check rooms for any maintenance issues (e.g., broken fixtures, leaks).

Report damage or need for repairs to the maintenance or engineering department.
-
Ensure that rooms meet hotel or facility standards before marking them as "ready" or "clean."

Skills and Qualifications:

Attention to Detail: Ability to notice small messes or problems and clean or report them effectively.

Time Management: Able to clean rooms efficiently and meet daily task deadlines.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks.

Teamwork: Collaborate with other housekeeping staff and departments.

Customer Service: Friendly and helpful attitude when interacting with guests.

Basic Communication Skills: Ability to understand instructions and communicate effectively in the working language of the establishment.
