Job Description
Maintain cleanliness in hospital wards, patient rooms, and common areas.
Follow infection control and hygiene protocols.
Dispose of medical and general waste safely.
Assist in sanitizing hospital equipment and surfaces.
Ensure availability of cleaning supplies and restocking when necessary.
Work collaboratively with hospital staff to maintain a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning & Sanitization

Ensure cleanliness of hospital rooms, wards, ICUs, and common areas.

Disinfect patient beds, furniture, medical equipment, and surfaces.

Proper disposal of medical and non-medical waste as per guidelines.

Maintain restrooms and ensure availability of hygiene supplies.
2. Infection Control & Safety
-
Follow hospital infection control protocols while cleaning.

Use approved disinfectants and cleaning agents safely.
-
Handle biohazard waste disposal carefully to prevent contamination.
3. Linen & Laundry Management
-
Change bed linens and curtains regularly.
-
Ensure proper washing and sterilization of hospital linen.
4. Support Services
-
Assist patients and staff with basic non-medical requests.
-
Refill sanitizers, hand wash, and tissue papers in required areas.
-
Report damaged equipment or maintenance needs to supervisors.
