Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sourcing IT Candidates:
    The intern will assist in sourcing potential candidates for IT roles through a variety of platforms such as job boards, LinkedIn, professional networks, and internal databases. This includes posting job openings, searching for resumes, and reaching out to candidates directly to gauge their interest.

  2. Screening Resumes and Applications:
    Reviewing resumes and applications submitted by candidates is an important part of the recruitment process. The intern will learn to identify key skills and qualifications relevant to IT roles, shortlisting candidates for interviews based on their experience, education, and technical capabilities.

  3. Conducting Initial Candidate Screening:
    The intern may conduct initial phone screenings or video interviews with candidates. During these calls, they will assess candidates’ basic qualifications, technical skills, cultural fit, and motivation for applying to the role. This is an important step in narrowing down the list of candidates for more detailed interviews.

  4. Coordinating Interviews:
    The intern will assist in scheduling interviews between candidates and hiring managers or senior recruiters. This involves coordinating times, ensuring candidates have the necessary information about the interview process, and confirming interview details.

  5. Managing Candidate Communication:
    Maintaining clear and professional communication with candidates throughout the hiring process is key. The HR intern will help ensure candidates are kept informed about their application status, interview outcomes, and next steps in the hiring process.

  6. Supporting the Offer and Onboarding Process:
    Once a candidate is selected for a role, the intern may assist in preparing and sending offer letters, conducting background checks, and helping to set up the candidate’s onboarding process. This includes ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and new hires are set up with the appropriate resources to start their roles.

  7. Maintaining Recruitment Database:
    The intern will help manage and update the recruitment database or Applicant Tracking System (ATS), keeping track of candidates’ progress through the recruitment stages and ensuring all relevant information is up-to-date. This also includes organizing resumes, job postings, and interview feedback for future reference.

  8. Collaborating with IT Hiring Managers:
    As part of the recruitment process, the intern will gain exposure to working with hiring managers in the IT department to understand the specific requirements for each role. This collaboration helps ensure the recruitment process is aligned with the department’s needs and that only the most qualified candidates are considered.

  9. Assisting with Job Descriptions and Job Postings:
    The intern will assist in drafting, editing, and posting job descriptions for various IT roles. This includes ensuring the descriptions accurately reflect the qualifications, experience, and skills needed for the role and are optimized for search engines or job boards.

  10. Learning and Adhering to Recruitment Best Practices:
