Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Staff Recruitment and Onboarding:

Oversee end-to-end recruitment for medical, paramedical, nursing, and non-clinical staff.

Coordinate with department heads to identify staffing needs across shifts and specializations.

Conduct interviews, reference checks, credential verifications (licenses, certifications), and background screening.

Manage onboarding, orientation, and induction of new employees with a focus on hospital policies, code of conduct, and patient care standards.
2. Workforce Management and Scheduling:
-
Maintain a robust duty roster and shift allocation system to ensure 24/7 hospital operations.

Monitor and manage attendance, absenteeism, and staff punctuality through biometric systems or manual logs.

Coordinate duty rotations, night shifts, and overtime schedules in consultation with department supervisors.
3. Employee Relations and Grievance Handling:

Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances with sensitivity, confidentiality, and fairness.

Promote an inclusive and respectful workplace culture across all hospital departments.

Handle disciplinary actions, counseling sessions, and documentation of incidents as per policy.
4. Performance Management and Appraisals:

Implement annual and periodic performance evaluations for all staff categories.

Guide HODs in setting department-specific KPIs for doctors, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff.

Conduct performance improvement planning (PIP) for underperforming employees.

Recognize top performers through rewards, certifications, and appreciation initiatives.
5. Policy Implementation and Compliance:

Develop, review, and update HR policies in alignment with hospital protocols and healthcare labor laws.

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations like ESI, PF, gratuity, maternity benefits, and contract labor laws.

Coordinate with internal and external auditors for HR-related inspections and documentation.
6. Training and Development:

Identify training needs for various categories of staff: clinical (doctors, nurses), technical (lab, radiology), and non-clinical (admin, housekeeping).

Coordinate workshops on patient handling, medical ethics, emergency preparedness, and soft skills.

Maintain training records and track continuing medical education (CME) participation.
7. Payroll and Benefits Administration:

Oversee salary processing in coordination with the accounts/finance department.

Ensure accurate tracking of leaves, compensatory offs, night duty allowances, and shift differentials.

Administer employee benefits such as medical insurance, uniforms, meals, and transportation.
8. HRMIS and Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate digital and physical employee records, including ID cards, contracts, licenses, and immunization details.

Use HRMIS software to streamline operations like attendance, leave, appraisals, and reporting.

Submit regular HR reports (staff turnover, headcount, absenteeism, etc.) to senior management.
