Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and committed Assistant Manager – Human Resources with mandatory experience in the NGO or social development sector. The role involves managing HR operations, recruitment, compliance, employee engagement, and supporting field-based teams while aligning HR practices with the organization’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Staffing

Manage end-to-end recruitment for field and office roles across projects.

Coordinate with program managers to understand manpower requirements.

Conduct interviews and ensure timely onboarding of staff and volunteers.
2. HR Operations & Administration
-
Handle employee records, contracts, attendance, and leave management.

Prepare HR MIS reports and maintain accurate documentation.

Support payroll inputs and ensure timely salary processing.
3. Employee Engagement & Welfare
-
Drive employee engagement initiatives aligned with NGO culture.

Address employee grievances and support staff welfare programs.

Build positive employee relations across field and office teams.
4. Compliance & Policies
-
Ensure compliance with labor laws, NGO regulations, and statutory requirements.

Support audits, donor requirements, and documentation related to HR.

Implement HR policies, SOPs, and code of conduct.
5. Performance Management
-
Assist in goal setting, appraisals, and performance review processes.

Support training and capacity-building initiatives for employees.
6. Coordination & Reporting

Liaise with management, donors, and external partners on HR matters.

Support project-based staffing and reporting requirements.
Required Skills:

Strong experience in NGO / Social Sector HR operations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage field staff and multi-location teams

Proficiency in MS Excel and HR reporting

Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
