Job Description

AV Global Advisory Services (HR Consulting Firm) is actively seeking an experienced and passionate Recruiter/Senior Recruiter to join our team. 

Location: Chennai, Avadi (Work from Office Only) 

Experience: 6 Months to 5 Years in Recruitment firm 

Industry Focus: Sales Hiring for Banks, NBFCs, and Insurance / Manufacturing / IT

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

·         Handle end-to-end recruitment.

·         Source, screen, and interview candidates based on client requirements.

·         Coordinate with hiring managers to understand specific recruitment needs.

·         Maintain and update recruitment databases.

·         Ensure timely fulfilment of vacancies and meet hiring targets.

·         Provide regular updates and reports to clients and management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition and Sourcing

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements, team dynamics, and key skills needed for various roles.

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, campus hiring, recruitment agencies, and networking events.

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates for critical roles.

  • Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools to manage applications and candidate data efficiently.

2. Screening and Shortlisting

  • Review resumes and applications to shortlist candidates based on qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.

  • Conduct initial phone or video screenings to assess candidate suitability.

  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with internal stakeholders, ensuring a smooth experience for both interviewers and candidates.

  • Prepare and deliver interview feedback to candidates promptly.

3. Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with business leaders and HR partners to forecast hiring needs and ensure alignment with workforce planning.

  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on recruitment progress, candidate pipeline, and market insights.

  • Offer guidance on interview techniques, job descriptions, and hiring best practices.

  • For Senior Recruiters: act as a trusted advisor to business units on strategic talent decisions.

4. Candidate Experience

  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience at every touchpoint of the recruitment process.

  • Communicate effectively with candidates about job roles, interview processes, expectations, and feedback.

  • Manage offer negotiation, pre-boarding, and handover to HR operations for onboarding.

  • Represent the company brand with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm.

5. Offer Management and Closure

  • Extend job offers, handle salary discussions, and clarify terms of employment.

  • Liaise with internal compensation and HR teams to ensure competitive and compliant offers.

  • Handle counteroffers and proactively mitigate offer declines or dropouts.

  • Ensure a seamless transition from offer acceptance to onboarding.

6. Employer Branding & Recruitment Marketing

  • Contribute to employer branding initiatives through social media posts, job fairs, career pages, and recruitment campaigns.

  • Engage with potential candidates via LinkedIn and other platforms to promote open roles and company culture.

  • Attend job fairs, networking events, and university hiring programs to represent the organization.

7. Data Management and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate information in ATS or recruitment CRM systems.

  • Generate and analyze recruitment reports including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness, and offer-to-joining ratios.

  • Track hiring metrics and use data to drive process improvements.

8. Compliance and Process Adherence

  • Ensure adherence to all recruitment-related policies and applicable labor laws.

  • Maintain confidentiality and data privacy of candidate and employee information.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and process records.

9. Mentoring and Leadership (for Senior Recruiter role)

  • Guide and support junior recruiters or sourcing specialists in achieving hiring targets.

  • Conduct training sessions on interviewing techniques, sourcing tools, and candidate engagement.

  • Lead special hiring drives, diversity hiring initiatives, or bulk hiring campaigns.
