Job Description
Job Summary:
The Human Resource Intern will support the HR department in carrying out various administrative and operational tasks across recruitment, employee engagement, onboarding, documentation, and training. This internship is designed to provide exposure to the practical aspects of human resources management and a hands-on understanding of day-to-day HR functions within an organization.
The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented individual eager to learn about HR operations and develop skills in areas such as talent acquisition, communication, organizational development, and HR compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Support

Assist in posting job openings on various job boards, social media, and the company career page.

Screen resumes and applications to shortlist potential candidates based on job requirements.

Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and candidates.

Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process, including follow-up emails and interview reminders.

Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) or recruitment database.
2. Onboarding and Induction

Help prepare onboarding materials for new hires (employee forms, welcome kits, ID cards, etc.).

Coordinate orientation sessions and ensure proper induction of new employees.

Assist in collecting and verifying documents from new joiners.

Maintain onboarding checklists and ensure a smooth transition for new team members.
3. HR Documentation and Data Entry

Maintain employee records in physical and digital formats.

Organize and update HR files, including attendance sheets, leave records, and appraisal forms.

Input employee data into HR software or spreadsheets accurately and confidentially.

Support documentation for payroll processing, exit formalities, and statutory compliance.
4. Employee Engagement and Communication

Assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities such as birthdays, team events, and celebrations.

Collect employee feedback through surveys and help analyze results.

Help in creating HR newsletters, internal communications, and announcements.

Support initiatives to improve employee morale, well-being, and workplace culture.
5. Learning and Development Support

Assist in organizing training sessions, webinars, and workshops for employees.

Track training attendance and maintain learning records.

Help gather feedback from participants and generate training effectiveness reports.
6. General Administrative Support

Coordinate with other departments and vendors as required.

Respond to HR-related queries from employees and escalate issues to the HR Manager when needed.

Take meeting minutes, maintain schedules, and support event planning as needed.

Assist in ad hoc tasks and projects assigned by the HR team.

Educational Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

Students from MBA/BBA programs or HR certification courses are preferred.
