Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Design Coordination
-
Review and interpret HVAC designs, technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.

Assist in the design and selection of HVAC systems, including chillers, air handling units, ducting, ventilation, piping, and controls.

Work with consultants, architects, and internal design teams to refine layouts and specifications in compliance with building codes, standards, and client requirements.

Perform heat load calculations, duct sizing, and equipment selection using software tools like HAP, AutoCAD, or Revit MEP.
Project Execution and Site Management

Oversee the on-site execution of HVAC projects, including equipment installation, ductwork fabrication, and mechanical system testing.

Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate implementation of plans.

Monitor site progress, manage daily operations, and resolve on-site technical issues.

Conduct inspections to verify workmanship quality, system integrity, and adherence to engineering standards.
Procurement and Budget Management

Prepare material take-offs, equipment schedules, and bill of quantities for HVAC systems.

Assist in procurement planning and sourcing of materials, ensuring timely availability of HVAC components.

Work with project managers to track budgets, costs, and expenditures related to HVAC scopes of work.

Evaluate vendor quotes, manage supplier relationships, and ensure delivery deadlines are met.
Testing, Commissioning, and Handover

Plan and supervise system testing, balancing, and commissioning activities in accordance with design specifications and industry standards.

Troubleshoot system functionality and performance issues during the pre-commissioning and handover phases.

Maintain comprehensive documentation, including as-built drawings, operation manuals, and commissioning reports.

Assist in client demonstrations, training sessions, and final handover processes.
Health, Safety, and Quality Assurance

Enforce compliance with safety protocols, risk assessments, and site-specific HSE regulations.

Participate in quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures to ensure system reliability and operational performance.

Support audits, inspections, and safety meetings as required by the project or regulatory bodies.
Reporting and Communication

Provide regular project updates to senior engineers, project managers, and stakeholders.

Prepare technical reports, progress documentation, and project close-out documents.

Attend coordination meetings, client reviews, and internal briefings.

Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and support issue resolution across departments.
