HVAC Site Engineer
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Execution & Supervision
-
Supervise and manage all HVAC installation activities on the site as per project requirements.
-
Monitor the day-to-day work of technicians, fitters, and subcontractors.
-
Ensure timely installation of ducting, piping, insulation, equipment (AHU, FCU, Chiller, VRF units), etc.
-
Conduct site inspections to verify the progress and quality of work.
2. Project Coordination
-
Coordinate with other site engineers (civil, electrical, plumbing) to resolve technical issues.

Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, and main contractors to discuss progress and technical matters.

Collaborate with the design and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of HVAC materials and equipment.
3. Drawings & Documentation
-
Review HVAC shop drawings, schematic diagrams, and coordination layouts.
-
Interpret MEP drawings to guide installation and routing of HVAC systems.
-
Maintain proper documentation of work done, materials used, and as-built records.
4. Quality Control & Safety
-
Ensure installation is performed in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Check material quality, alignment, insulation thickness, duct support spacing, and proper sealing.
-
Implement health and safety protocols at the site for all HVAC-related work.
5. Testing & Commissioning
-
Assist in the testing, balancing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.

Coordinate with OEM vendors for installation, testing, and handover.

Identify snags or defects and ensure timely rectification before final handover.
6. Reporting & Site Updates
-
Prepare daily and weekly site progress reports and submit to project managers.
-
Track labor deployment, equipment usage, and material inventory.
-
Communicate regularly with office teams for technical queries, procurement delays, or design changes.
