In this role you will be part of a team responsible for back-end database development of the IBM OpenPages GRC product. You will become part of the Platform development team and interact with other product teams (UI, Quality Engineering, Performance, DevOps), product management and large clients.

- You’ll work in an Agile, collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, code and test innovative applications, and support those applications for our highly valued customers.
- You'll work on Cloud Technologies, Microservices Architecture
- You’ll employ IBM’s Design Thinking to create products that provide a great user experience along with high performance, security, quality, and stability.
- You’ll have an opportunity to work with a variety of relational databases (Oracle,DB2), operating systems (Linux, Windows), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift) and modern UI frameworks (React, Node.js).
- Work across the entire system architecture, from backend to front end, to design, develop, and support high quality and scalable products.
- Create everything from mockups and UI components to algorithms and data structures.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset and continuous learning; stay current on IBM strategies and offerings with understanding of technical principles of Docker and Kubernetes
- Use DevOps engineering practices and methods to plan and create software applications
- Employs IBM's Design Thinking to create products and services that provide a great user experience along with high performance, security, quality, and stability; ensure that the implemented solutions are unit tested and ready to integrate in products
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills combined in an Agile process
- Engineer solutions in areas such as cloud foundation, cloud services, cloud management applications, machine learning, computational linguistics, natural language processing and security applications
- 4+ yrs Understanding and experience with Cloud Technologies, Microservices Architecture and container technologies
- Understanding and experience with Back End or Full Stack Development
- Understanding and experience with DevOps, Agile, and Design/Implementation within CI/CD and Secure Software Engineering Best Practices
- Understanding and experience writing and executing Unit and Integration Tests as part of Test Driven DevOps Development
- Understanding and experience with RESTful APIs, Kubernetes,RedHat OpenShift, Docker, Ansible,JavaScript, HTML/CSS, NodeJS, Ruby, Go, Python, Java, Postgres, Redis, NoSQL DBs, GitHub, GitLab
- Understanding of critical industry Compliance Best Practices (e.g. GDPR, SOC2)
- Experience working with open-source technologies
- Experience implementing distributed applications in a container environment (Docker/Kubernetes) along with experience configuring and administrating Linux (or other Unix-like) systems
- Software engineering experience designing Enterprise Cloud Applications with Go Lang, NodeJS, Angular JS, Javascript, Python etc.,
- Experience in relational or no sql databases
- Understanding of Networking concepts and experience in Network development.
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards & requirements
- Working across architecture - building both front end and backend
- Have an interest in, understanding of, or experience with Design Thinking Methodology
- Have an interest in, understanding of, or experience with Agile development methodology’s
