Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1️⃣ Patient Care & Medical Management
✅ Provide continuous monitoring and treatment for critically ill patients.
✅ Assess patients' conditions, monitor vital signs, and manage life-support equipment.
✅ Administer medications, IV fluids, and oxygen therapy as prescribed.
✅ Perform emergency medical procedures (CPR, intubation, arterial line placement, etc.).
✅ Assist consultants during ICU rounds and procedures.
2️⃣ Emergency & Critical Care Procedures
✅ Handle code blue and other emergency situations in the ICU.
✅ Ensure timely escalation to senior doctors for critical cases.
✅ Assist in performing diagnostic tests (blood work, X-rays, ECG, ABG analysis, etc.).
✅ Interpret ECG, ABG, and other bedside investigations to aid in decision-making.
3️⃣ Coordination & Communication
✅ Collaborate with senior consultants, anesthetists, and specialists for treatment plans.
✅ Communicate with family members regarding patient conditions and updates.
✅ Ensure proper documentation of patient history, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
✅ Coordinate with nurses, lab technicians, and radiologists for patient investigations and reports.
4️⃣ Equipment & ICU Protocols Management
✅ Ensure the proper functioning of ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps, and dialysis machines.
✅ Maintain ICU hygiene, infection control, and strict adherence to hospital protocols.
✅ Supervise and train junior RMOs and interns on ICU patient care.
