1. Position: Pedagogical Research Associate – MOOCs
2. The Pedagogical Research Associate will provide complete support for individual faculty members for Course design, Content research, Creation of digital courseware (videos, presentations, reading material, etc.), Online assessment strategy, and Course authoring.
ii. The role also includes liaising with MOOC support teams such as editors, cameramen, and instructional designers. Management of course delivery (TA role), Course QA and testing are an integral part of the role.
3. This position is offered on contract and renewable subsequently. Remuneration will be based on Institute norms and the applicant’s qualification and experience
4. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Course Design that defines the details about the course
ii Content creation and research including preparing reading materials and assessments
iii Video recording including assisting for the video shoots, working closely with the camera team in deciding the location and visuals.
iv Video editing support for the videos produced which includes preparing edit notes and visual resources (power point slides, images, etc.) as required by working closely with the Instructional Designer
v Technical course authoring by creating the course on the edX Platform, IIMBx and SWAYAM platform
vi Course TA (Teaching Assistantship) including monitoring the course once it goes live in terms of active participation in the discussion forum as well as revising course, as per learner/instructor feedback.
vii Learner Engagement by enhancing the delivery and by creating knowledge pathways for learners
5. Key Skills / Abilities / Knowledge required:
i Strong command over written and spoken English
ii Well versed with MS Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint
iii Knowledge of online creative and visual tools is an added advantage
iv Behavioural competencies such as leadership, teamwork, flexibility, communication and initiative
6. Educational qualification and Experience:
i. Candidate should be a First-Class Graduate from of a reputed university
ii. Should have minimum 2 years’ experience

i Internal: Faculty, Video Production Team, Instructional Designer, Other key functions with IIMB like Estate and Computer Centre
ii External: Vendors, Industry Experts, MOOC learners, EdX
11. This position is on contract. Selected candidates should be prepared to take up the assignment immediately. Maximum age limit for being appointed under these Rules will ordinarily not exceed 60 years for Non-teaching staff, subject to discretion from the director.
