Assistant Professor
Qualifications : Ph.D with first class or equivalent in the preceding degree with a very good academic record throughout. 1. For HR – PhD in HR with first class Master Degree in HR or PMIR. 2. For Quantitative Techniques – PhD in Statistics with first class Master Degree (MSc or M.Stats) in Statistics.
Experience : Minimum 3 years teaching /research/industrial experience (exclusive period of doing Ph.D).
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600-39100/- with AGP Rs. 8,000/-
Assistant Professor on Contract
Qualifications : Ph.D with first class or equivalent in the preceding degree with a very good academic record throughout. 1. For HR – PhD in HR with first class Master Degree in HR or PMIR. 2. For Quantitative Techniques – PhD in Statistics with first class Master Degree (MSc or M.Stats) in Statistics. (Candidates who have submitted their Thesis and yet to be awarded the PhD Degree are also encouraged to apply)
Experience : (Candidates having less than 3 years of experience after award of PhD will be considered only for the post of Assistant Professor on Contract.
Scale of Pay : Rs. PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100/- with AGP Rs. 6,000/- with 7(seven) Non-compounded advance increments.

The decision of coming up with an Indian Institute of Management in the North East was unanimously taken by the Union Minister of Human Resource Development along with the Chief Ministers of the North Eastern States in the Review Meeting held at Shillong during June 2004.
