Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali (IISER Mohali) invites applications for the position of Project Assistant
IISER-Mohali (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences) desires to engage a Project Assistant on a purely temporary basis on contract under the MOEF-CC sponsored research project at IISER-Mohali.

2. No. of Positions: 1
3. Essential Qualification: MSc/MTech/BSc in Chemistry/ Physics/Atmospheric Sciences. Candidates must have a good academic record with 70% or above throughout for General/ OBC and 65% or above for SC/ST/PD candidates. Fluency in English is mandatory.
4. Desirable Qualification:
a. Experience in data analysis and scientific writing. Experience in acquiring and interpreting ambient air quality data for trace gases and aerosols.
b. Prior experience/hands-on training in operation, calibration, and data processing for any of the following instruments: Multi-wavelength aethalometer (Magee Scientific ME42), NOx analyzer, SO2 analyzer, Picaro GHG analyzer, beta-attenuation PM analyzer or Airveda low-cost PM sensors.
c. Prior experience/hands-on training in air mass history analysis (Hysplit back trajectory modeling) Basic skills in Igor Pro and R (Open-air package) Prior experience/ hands-on training in implementing the random forest machine learning algorithm in R
5. Emoluments: As per MOEF-CC Rules
6. Duration: Till 31st March 2023 with no possibility of extension
