Space Instrumentation Engineer Jobs opportunity in Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER Kolkata)
Space Instrumentation Engineer in Mechanical Engineering at Center of Excellence in Space Sciences India (CESSI)
Qualification : BTech/BE in Mechanical Engineering, First Class or equivalent required
Desired Qualification : M.Tech in the desired field. Knowledge of conduction and radiation heat transfer, thermo-elastic deformation theory and application. Designing mechanical and thermal control components preferably for optical systems. Analysis of mechanical and thermal design with FEM simulation preferably for optics and opto-mechanical systems, with tools like SolidWorks Simulations. Experience in conducting thermal transient and thermal static simulation studies for dissipation from electronics. Ability to use other CAD and Simulation tools like AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Ansys. Some basic skills in programming with C, C++, and/or script languages like Python is expected. The candidate should be willing to learn the requisite abilities quickly. Familiarity with integrating and testing optics and optomechanics will be an added advantage. Any experience of working on satellite payload development related activities will be highly valuable.
Salary Range and Tenure: Rs. 40,000—Rs. 50,000 per month consolidated based on experience. The position has a probationary period of 3 months. Appointment is initially for a one year period which is extendable on a yearly basis based on performance and availability of funding.
Space Instrumentation Engineer in Electronics/Opto-Electronics at Center of Excellence in Space Sciences India (CESSI)
Qualification : BTech/BE in Electronics/Opto-Electronics/Applied Physics/Physics with specialization in Electronics/Optics/Lasers and Photonics, First Class or equivalent required
Desired Qualification : MTech in the desired fields. Experience in handling electronics circuits, interfacing (such as Labview), opto-electronic devices, relevant data handling and analysis. Experience in relevant software and computing languages. Research or developmental experience in relevant fields in optics, electro-optics
