Applications are invited from highly motivated young persons for a post of Project Associate in a DST sponsored project (DST/INSPIRE/04/2016/001692) as per the details given below.
1. Post: Project Associate
2. Project Title: Studying few aspects of soil behaviour and incorporating them in Limit Analysis
3. Minimum Qualification: B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from premier institutions (IITs, NITs, Jadavpur University, and BITS Pilani) with CGPA above 7.5 are eligible. Candidates having M.Tech. degree must have Geotechnical Engineering as their specialization with CGPA above 8.
4. Preferred Experience:
i. Sound knowledge in soil mechanics. Knowledge in unsaturated soil mechanics will be given preference.
ii. Good logical and analytical skills.
iii. Experience in using MATLAB will be given preference.
iv. The candidate should be motivated for publishing his/her work in international journals and conferences of repute.
5. Nature of Work: This research will mostly involve numerical programming (in Matlab).
6. Scholarship: A consolidated amount of Rs. 25,000/- per month. No HRA will be paid.
7. Duration of Appointment: The position is for one year. The post is purely temporary and will be completely based on performance.
Age Limit:
The upper age limit is 26 years as on the day on which the application is made. Age relaxation will be there for some special cases.
