Job Description
1. Name of the Position Junior Research Fellow (On Contract)
2. Number of Positions 1
3. Essential Qualification Post Graduate or Graduate degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent selected through a process described through any one of the following: Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Test– CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE The Selection process through National level examination conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
4. Desirable Qualification Strong programming skills, Strong conceptual knowledge in Signal Processing, Machine Learning and Deep learning 5. Consolidated Emoluments ₹31,000/-+ 16% House Rent Allowance per month
6 Duration of the tenure Maximum 3 years
7. Tenure of appointment The appointment for the above contractual position will be initially for 03 (three) months, which can be further extended subject to satisfactory performance, availability of funds in the project and requirement in the project.
8. Project Code and Title: EE/SRMP/DBT/2021/8.60
9. Job Description: Development of speech processing algorithms for automatic detection depression and other mental health issues using signal processing, machine learning and deep learning approaches.
10. Schedule: Date and Time-slots will be communicated through email. Tentative date of written test and/or interviews: 23rd August 2021. Any change in the schedule will be notified on the IIT Dharwad website.
11. Documents Required: Applicant should have online version of all original certificates including mark sheets (matriculation onwards), experience certificate(s), monthly emoluments/salary drawn, and all other relevant documents (including one set of self-attested certificate(s)/document(s) and updated Curriculum Vitae.
