Job Description
Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) invites application for the position Postdoctoral
Humanities and Social Sciences discipline at the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar, has a postdoctoral position to carry out research on “Local Governance and Public Service Delivery in India”. The candidate is expected to provide research support at different stages involving literature review, research design, conducting surveys, analysing data, and writing results. The candidate might also be required to help with grant writing.
2. Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. in Economics, Public Policy or Political Economy, or a related discipline
3. Preferred Qualifications: The prospective candidate is expected to have a strong background in Development Economics and Political Economy of Development. They must have strong quantitative research skills, and should be able to carry out micro-data analysis using relevant Econometric methods. STATA and/or R skills are must. Candidate must have demonstrated the above-mentioned preferred qualifications through their ongoing or their past work. This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded as necessary.
4. Duration: Initial appointment is for 1 year, extendable up to 1 more year based on performance
5. Remuneration: 50,000 INR per month + 10,000 INR HRA (No HRA will be paid if the campus housing is availed)
