Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) invites application for the position Mobile App Developer

Title of Project: A Novel Privacy-Preserving Participatory Noise-Map System

Duration of the project: 2 years

Location: Roorkee, Uttarakhand

Qualifications: B.Tech (CSE/IT/ECE) or BCA with minimum 2 years of relevant experience OR M.Tech (CSE/IT/ECE) or MCA with minimum 1 years of relevant experience.

Salary as per non-government organization market norms.

Job Description: Develop and publish mobile application for both Android and iOS for the application of developing noise pollution map over an area using participatory sensing. The applicant must have good knowledge of Android SDK Developer Tools, Eclipse Android SDK Developer, Web Service, SOAP, REST API, JSON, XML, SQLite database, Google Maps interface for Android, Locations & Sensors (GPS), Multi-threaded Programming, publishing apps on Android Playstore and Apple app store. Experience in developing map based applications with overlay technique is desirable. The applicant should have good knowledge of data structure and algorithms. Experience/knowledge of noise level measurement using mobile phone microphone is desiarable.
