Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) invites application for the position Junior Research Fellow
Title of project: Privacy Pricing in Power Systems under Obfuscation
Sponsor of the project: Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science & Technology. Government of India.
Project position(s) and number: Junior Research Fellow (01)
Qualifications:
a) M.E./M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power System or equivalent with CGPA above 7.0 (on 10.0 scale) or percentage greater than 70% aggregate irrespective of category. B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with CGPA above 7.5 (on 10.0 scale) or percentage greater than 75% aggregate irrespective of category are also eligible.
b) The candidate must have qualitied GATE. The candidate with exposure and interest in Power markets, power system analysis and operation, optimization, etc. will be given preference. This is minimum qualification for application, the shortlisting will be done based on applicant's academic performance & their experience in the relevant areas etc.
Emoluments: Rs.31000/-+ HRA
Duration: 1 year and likely to be continue up to Project Duration.
Job description: The JRF will be involved in the research and development activities related to the development of optimization frame works for the power systems considering the electricity consumer's cybersecurity and privacy preferences. The JRF will also get exposure in various optimization modelling tools for framing power market models in this research project. Based on performance, the JRF may be considered for PhD enrollment, subject to his eligibility as per the institute norms.
