IMS Engineer Job in For a Client of TeamLease Digital at Gurugram

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain IMS network elements and services.

• Troubleshoot SIP signaling, VoLTE, VoWiFi, and IMS registration/call-flow issues.

• Work with IMS components such as P-CSCF, I-CSCF, S-CSCF, TAS, HSS/UDM, PCRF/PCF and related systems.

• Analyze SIP messages, logs, alarms, and traces to identify faults.

• Perform incident, problem, and change management.

• Support IMS software upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and deployments.

• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for issue resolution.

• Perform service-impact analysis and root-cause analysis (RCA).

• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and operational procedures.

• Participate in planned maintenance and on-call support when required.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of IMS architecture and 3GPP concepts.

• Good understanding of SIP, Diameter, RTP/RTCP, DNS, TCP/IP and IP networking.

• Practical knowledge of VoLTE/VoWiFi call flows.

• Experience with troubleshooting using Wireshark, SIP traces, logs and network monitoring tools.

• Knowledge of Linux/Unix and basic scripting is an advantage.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work with telecom vendors and cross-functional teams.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred

• Experience with IMS platforms from vendors such as Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, ZTE, or Mavenir.

• Knowledge of 5G Core/VoNR is an advantage.

• Understanding of Kubernetes/containerized telecom environments is a plus.
