Airmen Job Position in Indian Air Force

Indian Air Force offers opportunities for Unmarried Male Indian Citizens from the designated Districts of State of Odisha to join as Airmen. The Recruitment Test for Group “X”(Technical) Trades will be held at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium, Bhawanipattna, Kalahandi, Odisha from 15 December 2016 to 19 December 2016 as per the Selection Programme.

Qualification : (a) Group “X”(Technical) Trades. (i) Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR (ii) Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering, as shown below, from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in overall aggregate, and 50% marks in English in Diploma or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course.

(aa) Mechanical Stream:- Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Design & Drafting), Mechanical Engineering (Foundry Technology), Mechanical Engineering (Machine Tool Maintenance and repairs), Mechanical Engineering (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning), Mechanical Engineering (Tool & Die), Mechanical Engineering (Production), Mechanical Engineering (Fabrication Tech), Mechanical Engineering (CAD/CAM Design & Robotics), Mechanical (Advance Manufacturing Technology), Manufacturing Engineering/Technology, Production Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Advanced Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechatronics. 

(ab) Electrical/Electronics/IT Stream:- Electronics, Applied Electronics, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics (Microprocessor), Electronics and Avionics, Electronics (Fibre Optics), Electronics (Robotics), Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Industrial Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering/Technology, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering/Technology, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Science & Technology.

Pay & Allowances :  During training, a stipend of Rs. 11,400/- per month will be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Grade Pay, Military Service Pay (MSP), Group ‘X’ Pay and Dearness Allowance (DA) will be Rs. 26,685/- per month (approximately) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.

Date of Birth Block :  (a) Candidates born between 08 January 1997 and 28 June 2000 (both days inclusive) are eligible to appear in the Recruitment Rally. (b) In case, a candidate clears the Selection Procedure then the upper age limit as on date of enrolment is 21 years.

Medical Standards : (a) General Medical Standards are as follows: - (i) Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm (ii) Weight: Proportionate to height and age. (iii) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) not acceptable. (iv) Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately. (v) Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points. (vi) Health: Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments. Candidate must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

Selection Procedure : Written Test will be objective type and question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English paper. Detailed procedure shall be explained before conduct of the examination. Duration of the written test will be 60 minutes and will comprise of English, Physics and Mathematics as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus
