3. Remuneration: Rs. 30,000/- per month (Consolidated)
4. Place of Posting: Bengaluru
5. Qualification :
M.Sc in Physics / Astronomy/Astrophysics with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade (aggregate) from a UGC recognized University/Institution. Candidates should have good knowledge of Python programming language, and knowledge and/or experience in handling data from astronomical instruments.
6. Scope of work :
To provide software development support for specialized analysis of data from the Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (UVIT, onboard AstroSat). The selected candidate will also handle the routine reduction of UVIT data using the data pipeline system, and work on any other tasks that are of use to the UVIT user community and extraction of science using data from UVIT.
