3. Scale of pay : VII CPC Pay Matrix Level-4 (Pay Range Rs.25500-81100)

4. Place of posting : Kodaikanal Solar Observatory, Kodaikanal (Tamil Nadu)

5. Qualification : B.Sc in Physics / Maths / Chemistry or B.Sc. in Information Technology or Electronics or BCA or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized university / institute.

6. Experience: Essential: Minimum 2 years experience in College / University laboratory or in a research laboratory of an R & D organization.

7. Desirable: Experience with astronomical telescopes.

8. Job description: Help the observer in operating the telescope in different modes. The incumbent will also perform the visitor’s duty in the museum and any other work specified by during off-seasons.
