Job Description
An Infra and Material Circle Lead is responsible for overseeing the passive infrastructure within a designated circle, ensuring its availability, maintenance, and functionality. This role also involves managing operational issues, implementing preventive maintenance, and collaborating with vendors and contractors. The role requires a strong understanding of infrastructure components, vendor management, and the ability to drive cost optimization and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management:
- Overseeing the passive infrastructure (towers, shelters, power systems, etc.) within the circle, ensuring its availability and functionality.
- Operational Issue Resolution:
- Addressing and resolving infrastructure-related issues reported at owned sites, coordinating with field engineers and stakeholders.
- Preventive Maintenance:
- Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules, conducting inspections, and ensuring optimal site performance.
- Vendor Management:
- Collaborating with vendors and contractors, monitoring their performance, and ensuring adherence to SLAs.
- Cost Optimization:
- Driving initiatives to reduce operational expenditure, such as through MSA mining, billing analytics, and rental reduction programs.
- Process Improvement:
- Implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines, and driving digitization efforts related to infrastructure management.
- Compliance:
- Ensuring adherence to statutory and legal requirements related to infrastructure and operations.
- Customer Experience:
- Supporting Circle Operations teams to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Working with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
- Project Execution:
- Monitoring and managing projects related to infrastructure upgrades and expansions.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of passive infrastructure components and their maintenance.
- Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of relevant statutory and legal requirements.
- Experience in process improvement and cost optimization.
- Experience in project management and execution.
- Familiarity with telecom network infrastructure.
