Title: Lead Infrastructure Engineer
Duties
- Extensive experience in migrations from 7 mode to C mode & C Mode to C Mode
- Strong technical skills and in-depth understanding of NetApp 7mode and CDOT & fabric switches.
- Significant experience in software tools from Cisco, NetApp (OCUM, OCI etc)
- Design and implement Netapp storage systems, including procurement, installation, configuration, software upgrades, and storage provisioning.
- Adding disk shelf to the existing storage for standalone and High availability controllers
- Administer Fiber Channel SAN fabrics, including installation, configuration, zoning, software upgrades, and maintenance of switches
- Resolving the hardware issues in co-ordination with Netapp
- Create and maintain system scripts and programs to support the operations of the storage systems
- Troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues with storage systems, Fiber Channel SAN, ethernet and IP storage networking.
- Extensive experience in configuring and managing DR replications via snapmirror.
- Experience on backup and archival of volumes to DR site via snapvault.
- Extensive experience in managing vfilers, fiber interconnect switches, storage reporting and monitoring tools.
- Extensive experience in performing critical ONTAP upgrades.
- An excellent understanding of the following technologies: TCP/IP - CIFS - NFS - WINS / DNS - DFS - Network Topologies - Active Directory.
- Providing Operational Support to the File Serving / NAS Infrastructure within the organization, planning and implementing data migrations (typically using either Robocopy)
- Experience using an operational ticketing system to record changes and work history details such as Service Now.
- Hands on storage engineering experience in Block, File, Object Storage and Backup technologies.
- Handling Disk, Aggregate, Qtree, Volume issues
- Checking Storage Critical Events
- Extensive experience in development of global technology standards, deployment guidelines and operational procedures
- NCDA on cDOT version
- NCIE â Implementation Engineer certification (optional)
- Good understanding and experience of programming languages like UNIX shell scripting, perl and python for automation
- 2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum and/or Kanban
- Experience with FC network administration
- Experience with Cisco MDS or Brocade FC switches
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms
- Experience and knowledge of enterprise process mapping tools and techniques, as well as of industry good practice frameworks such as ITIL, Agile etc.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and present to varied audiences and stakeholders.
- A confident self-starter, able to work without close supervision.
- Excellent analytical skills and strong desire to learn new technologies.
- Experience participating collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self-driven to complete tasks and projects on time.
- Passion for learning new technologies
- Ability to work after hours and provide on-call support
- Six or more years' experience with CIFS, NFS, iSCSI administration
- Six or more years' experience with Strong understanding and knowledge of supporting a Network Attached Storage environment .

- Strong interpersonal skills and willing to be a team player
- Three or more years' experience with file server administration
- Three or more years' experience with block storage administration
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
