Job Description
Applications are invited for the position of a Research Associate/Fellow for the project “Water footprint of the Dairy Sector in India: An analysis of water requirement, production, profitability, and conservation”.
1. Name of the Post: Research Associate/Fellow
2. Qualification and Experience:
i. Post-graduation or Ph.D. in Dairy Science, Agriculture, Agri-economics, Economics /Development Economics, Management, etc.
ii. Experience in research//report writing, paper publication, field-based conduct of project work.
iii. Proficiency in English and Gujarati
3. Remuneration and Tenure: The appointment will be made on a contractual basis with a consolidated remuneration of Rs.30,000/- per month based on qualification and experience. Remuneration is negotiable based on qualification and / experience/publication. This is a temporary/ short duration position for two months. The contract may be extendable depending on the project requirement. The panel would be prepared to have a validity period of one year for future requirements.
4. Job Profile: The responsibilities of the Research Associate/Fellow will include the following
i. Be stationed at Anand/nearby area, Gujarat, and be a part of a team for the study at IRMA
ii. Survey and travel to different districts in Gujarat whenever needed to conduct a survey, data collection, group discussion, tabulation, data analysis, drafting field reports, and any other related work for the project are required.
iii. The survey is expected to conduct household surveys, interviews of dairy co-operatives, and also Dairy Unions, Federation, and other related persons.
iv. Data collection, collation, data cleaning, data analysis, and present to the research team periodically
v. Assist the team in related other work related to the project
