Institute Post-Doctoral Fellow job Position in Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal

Qualifications :  The position requires a Ph.D. in Physics, Atmospheric Sciences, Atmospheric Chemistry, or related fields from a recognized University/Institute. The candidate should have a firm fundamental knowledge of solar variability, radiative transfer, atmospheric science, climate change and be willing to participate in field campaigns (involving some travel). Expertise in dispersion modeling, receptor modeling or other Bayesian approaches for aerosol source apportionment and/or atmospheric radiative transfer modeling is required.

Desirable :  In addition to the minimum qualifications, experience with analysis of hyper-spectral satellite data such as that from OMI, GOME-2, AIRS, MODIS, or IASI is also desirable. The ability to access NASA data in HDF-5 format and process it is also necessary for the position She/he should also have good verbal and written communication skills as well as be experienced in the standard computing languages such as C/C++, IDL, MATLAB or Fortran.

Salary : As per Institute norms, as applicable from time to time (current Rs. 40,000 + 20% HRA)

Age Limit : Preferably below 30 years. It can be relaxed for a candidate with exceptional abilities.
