Job Description
We Are Hiring – Offshore ONGC Projects
We are seeking suitable and qualified candidates for various ongoing and upcoming ONGC offshore projects. Applicants must possess a valid BOSIET certificate, a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), and prior offshore experience in a relevant field. Candidates should be safety-conscious, physically fit for offshore duties, and able to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. Preference will be given to those with hands-on experience in oil & gas platforms, shutdown jobs, and E&I-related activities. Immediate joiners will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Offshore Instrumentation Work Execution
-
Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, calibration, and maintenance of all offshore instrumentation systems.

Supervise and verify the functionality of field instruments such as pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, level switches, control valves, and fire & gas detection systems.

Support E&I construction activities, including cable laying, gland termination, JB installation, and loop checking.
2. Maintenance & Shutdown Support

Provide technical expertise during scheduled or emergency shutdowns (Turnarounds).

Coordinate maintenance schedules for instruments on platforms and ensure minimal disruption to production.

Diagnose faults in existing instruments and control systems and recommend corrective measures.
3. Compliance & Documentation
-
Ensure strict adherence to ONGC safety standards, HSE protocols, and project-specific procedures.

Prepare daily work reports, calibration records, loop folders, and test certificates.

Maintain accurate documentation and drawings (P&IDs, hook-up diagrams, instrument loop diagrams).
4. Coordination and Supervision
-
Work closely with the offshore construction, commissioning, and maintenance teams.

Supervise subcontractors and technicians to ensure timely and quality completion of instrumentation jobs.

Liaise with ONGC engineers and client representatives for inspections, approvals, and handovers.
5. Safety, Health & Environment
-
Participate actively in toolbox talks, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and safety drills.

Comply with PPE requirements, confined space, and working-at-height protocols.

Report near misses, unsafe acts, or incidents to the safety officer or offshore installation manager (OIM).
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electrical & Instrumentation or equivalent

Diploma holders with strong offshore experience may also be considered (on a case-by-case basis)
Certifications (Mandatory):
-
BOSIET Certificate (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) – Valid

PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) – from home state or jurisdiction
-
Offshore Medical Fitness Certificate – as per ONGC/IMCA standards
