Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Instrumentation Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
-
Inspect, maintain, calibrate, and repair a wide range of instruments such as:
-
Weighing scales and load cells
-
Bagging and filling machines
-
Proximity and photoelectric sensors
-
Limit switches, encoders, and pneumatic control valves
-
HMI panels and control circuits
-
-
Diagnose faults and troubleshoot issues in control loops and feedback systems used in automated packaging operations.
2. Installation & Commissioning:
-
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new bagging line equipment.
-
Ensure proper wiring, sensor positioning, signal testing, and loop checking during installation.
-
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and automation teams during equipment upgrades or line expansion.
3. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:
-
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on instrumentation and control devices to reduce downtime.
-
Use predictive maintenance tools to detect and address potential failures (vibration analysis, thermal imaging, etc.).
-
Maintain and update records of all maintenance activities in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or logbooks.
4. Calibration & Quality Assurance:
-
Calibrate weighing scales, flow meters, pressure transmitters, and other measuring instruments to meet production accuracy and quality control standards.

Ensure all instruments conform to industry calibration protocols and tolerances.

Prepare and maintain calibration certificates and documentation.
5. Safety & Compliance:
-
Follow all plant safety procedures, including Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), PPE usage, and confined space entry, where applicable.

Adhere to ISO, GMP, and other industry-specific standards during work.

Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and equipment anomalies to the supervisor.
6. Technical Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain wiring diagrams, technical manuals, datasheets, and calibration reports for instrumentation systems.

Prepare maintenance reports, daily activity logs, and shift handover notes.
-
Support audit requirements and participate in technical inspections.
7. Team Coordination & Support:
-
Coordinate with production teams to resolve real-time line interruptions or faults.
-
Provide support during production shifts to ensure minimal disruption to packaging operations.
-
Participate in cross-functional team discussions for process improvement and root cause analysis.
