Insurance Sales Executive
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales and Lead Generation

Prospecting: Identify and approach potential clients through cold calls, referrals, door-to-door visits, digital campaigns, or networking events.

Client Engagement: Schedule meetings with individuals or businesses to understand their insurance needs, financial situation, and risk tolerance.

Lead Management: Track and follow up on leads consistently to ensure conversion into actual policies.
2. Product Consultation and Policy Customization

Needs Analysis: Assess the client’s requirements and suggest suitable insurance products such as life insurance, health insurance, vehicle insurance, property insurance, or business liability coverage.

Policy Explanation: Clearly explain the features, benefits, premium structure, coverage limits, and terms & conditions of different policies.

Tailoring Solutions: Customize insurance plans as per client requirements while adhering to company and regulatory guidelines.
3. Sales Conversion
-
Presenting Proposals: Prepare insurance quotations, illustrations, and proposals that meet client needs and budget.

Negotiation and Closure: Negotiate terms and premium payments (if applicable) and work toward closing the sale effectively.

Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely submission of forms, KYC documents, and policy paperwork as per compliance norms.
4. Customer Relationship Management

Policy Servicing: Assist clients with claims, renewals, updates, endorsements, or cancellations.

Renewal Reminders: Proactively remind clients about policy expiry dates and encourage timely renewals.

Cross-Selling and Up-Selling: Introduce clients to additional or enhanced insurance products based on changing life stages or needs.
5. Market Intelligence and Reporting

Competitor Awareness: Stay informed about competitor insurance offerings, rates, and promotions to maintain a competitive edge.

Customer Feedback: Collect and report customer feedback to improve product offerings and service experience.

Sales Reporting: Maintain daily/weekly/monthly reports of client interactions, sales achieved, and follow-up status.
6. Compliance and Ethics

Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all activities are compliant with IRDAI (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India) or other country-specific insurance regulations.

Honesty and Transparency: Maintain ethical standards in sales, giving clients accurate information without misleading tactics.

Confidentiality: Handle all client data with utmost confidentiality and responsibility.
