Job Description
Consultant /Project Support Staff recruitment in Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune.
Data Management / Scientific Computing (Project).
Qualification & Experience: Degree in M.Sc. (Physics/Maths) / BE (Comp.Sci./Info.Tech./E&TC.).
The candidate is expected to have at least 2 years of experience in the following areas:Linux workstations and servers; Disk raids and tape backup systems; Large networked systems, utilizing multiple virtual LANs and routing; Firewalls and load balancing; User account management; Computer hardware and software trouble-shooting; Virtual machines
Should be well versed in C and C++ programming languages, and script languages like Bash, Perl & Python. Knowledge or skill in the following is highly desirable: UNIX and Windows operating systems; Software configuration control (SVN, GIT); Relational databases (e.g. mySql); Strong documentation skills; Good communication and customer support skills; System configuration, server control such as user accounts.

Age Limit: 40 years (Including relaxation).
Remuneration: Up to a maximum of Rs. 75,000/- per month
Data Centre Project Support Staff (Project) /1 Post
Qualification & Experience: Post-graduate Degree in Commerce or related areas. The candidate should have over three years of experience in office services support, e.g., inputting data, proofreading documents, gathering information, preparing reports, maintaining files, ordering, accounts and purchase-related processes and maintaining supplies / equipment. The following skill sets are expected for the position: Fully conversant with MS Office. Good verbal and written communication skills including emails, typically in a windows environment. Well versed with English and Hindi/Marathi languages. Familiarity with Google Spreadsheet and Tally will be of added value. The candidate should be willing to learn the requisite abilities quickly. Experience of working in a government, semi-government or autonomous establishment will be highly valuable.

Remuneration: Up to a maximum of Rs. 37,000
