Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Design Concept and Development:

Meet with clients to understand their vision, preferences, goals, and budget.

Conduct site visits to analyze existing space conditions and take accurate measurements.

Develop initial design concepts, mood boards, sketches, and 3D visualizations.

Create comprehensive space planning layouts considering aesthetics, function, and flow.

Choose color schemes, materials, finishes, textures, fabrics, lighting, and furniture.

Present design proposals and mood boards to clients for review and approval.

Adjust concepts based on client feedback and project constraints.
Project Planning and Coordination:

Develop detailed design drawings, floor plans, elevations, and specifications.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals.

Source and specify furnishings, materials, decorative items, and lighting fixtures.

Create bills of quantities, procurement lists, and item schedules.

Monitor and manage the project timeline to ensure timely execution.

Oversee site installations and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Ensure quality control of materials and workmanship on-site.
Client and Stakeholder Communication:

Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and progress reports.

Guide clients in decision-making regarding design elements and purchases.

Manage client expectations through transparency and design revisions where needed.

Attend meetings, site walkthroughs, and client presentations as required.
Administrative and Documentation Tasks:

Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and approvals.

Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and project timelines.

Ensure compliance with local building codes, accessibility standards, and safety regulations.

Maintain a library of current design materials, trends, and supplier information.
