Job Description
Job Summary
The Interior Designer is responsible for conceptualizing and executing aesthetically pleasing, functional, and innovative interior spaces that reflect client needs and align with project goals. This includes developing design concepts, creating detailed drawings and 3D renderings, selecting materials and finishes, and overseeing the implementation of the design from concept to completion.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong creative vision, a deep understanding of interior design trends and materials, and the ability to communicate ideas effectively with clients, vendors, and project teams. A successful Interior Designer should balance creativity with technical knowledge, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure the final result meets both client expectations and budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities
Design Development

Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, goals, and budget for interior spaces.

Develop creative and functional design concepts that meet the client’s vision and lifestyle or commercial objectives.

Create mood boards, sketches, and space planning layouts using software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or other relevant tools.

Select furniture, fixtures, color schemes, lighting, materials, and finishes based on the design concept and budget.
Presentation and Client Interaction

Present design proposals to clients through visual presentations and detailed drawings.

Make design revisions based on client feedback and provide expert guidance on aesthetics, materials, and layout.

Establish and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Coordination and Execution

Coordinate with architects, contractors, electricians, carpenters, and other specialists to bring the design vision to life.

Visit project sites regularly to monitor progress and ensure that the work aligns with design specifications and quality standards.

Manage procurement of materials, furniture, and décor elements, while keeping an eye on cost and lead times.

Ensure that all designs and installations comply with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Documentation and Reporting

Prepare detailed design documentation, including floor plans, elevations, construction drawings, and materials specifications.

Maintain accurate records of project timelines, material sourcing, budgeting, and client approvals.

Collaborate with project managers to track project milestones and report progress to clients and senior management.
