STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE (SOP)PROJECT MANAGER – INTERIOR & TURNKEY PROJECTS
Company: Prabhu Interiors Pvt. Ltd.
1. Purpose
To define the roles, responsibilities, and processes to be followed by the Project Manager to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality execution of interior and turnkey projects.
2. Scope
This SOP applies to all interior, fit-out, and turnkey projects handled by the company, from project handover to final completion and client closure.
3. Reporting Structure
Reports to: Director / Operations Head
Coordinates with: Site Engineers, Purchase & Procurement Team, Accounts Department, Vendors, Contractors, Clients & Consultants
4. Roles & Responsibilities
4.1 Project Initiation & Planning
- Study approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, and contract terms.
- Prepare project execution plan, timelines, and milestones.
- Conduct internal kickoff meetings.
- Identify risks and resource requirements.
4.2 Site Coordination & Execution
- Ensure site mobilization as per schedule.
- Coordinate daily with Site Engineers.
- Monitor execution quality and timelines.
- Ensure work as per approved drawings.
4.3 Vendor & Contractor Management
- Finalize subcontractors.
- Issue work orders.
- Monitor contractor performance.
- Resolve site issues.
4.4 Material & Purchase Coordination
- Approve material indents.
- Coordinate timely procurement.
- Ensure material quality.
- Control wastage.
4.5 Quality Control
- Maintain company quality standards.
- Conduct inspections.
- Rectify quality issues.
- Maintain snag lists.
4.6 Time & Cost Control
- Track timelines.
- Control budgets.
- Approve bills after verification.
- Coordinate with accounts.
4.7 Client Coordination
- Act as primary client contact.
- Conduct meetings.
- Manage variations.
- Ensure satisfaction.
4.8 Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain all records.
- Submit weekly reports.
- Update trackers.
4.9 Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety norms.
- Ensure PPE usage.
- Address hazards.
4.10 Project Handover & Closure
- Complete scope.
- Close snag list.
- Final inspection.
- Billing & closure.
5. KPIs
- Timely delivery
- Budget adherence
- Quality compliance
- Client satisfaction
6. Discipline & Accountability
Non-compliance may lead to disciplinary action as per company policy.
