Job Description
Create 2D and 3D designs, technical drawings, and schematics based on project requirements.

Modify existing designs and update CAD files as needed.

Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project needs and requirements.

Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.

Perform design calculations and prepare documentation for product manufacturing or construction.

Maintain organized files and document design changes.
-
Assist in the preparation of project documentation, presentations, and reports.

Participate in project meetings and provide input on design improvements and feasibility.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Consultation & Design Brief
-
Meet with clients to understand their requirements, preferences, budget, lifestyle, and functional needs.

Translate client requirements into detailed design briefs and mood boards.
-
Offer professional advice and creative direction to clients.
2. Concept Development & Design Proposals
-
Develop interior concepts, layouts, and theme-based ideas for each project.
-
Prepare mood boards, sketches, material boards, and digital design concepts.
-
Select color schemes, materials, furnishings, finishes, lighting, and décor.
3. Space Planning & Technical Drawings
-
Create accurate floor plans, elevations, and interior detailing using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit.

Design functional layouts including furniture arrangements, false ceilings, electrical points, and plumbing layouts.

Coordinate with structural and architectural teams to ensure design feasibility.
4. 3D Visualization & Presentation
-
Use rendering software such as 3ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion, or Enscape to create photorealistic 3D visuals.

Present design concepts to clients and make revisions based on feedback.

Ensure visual coherence across all design elements and deliverables.
5. Project Coordination & Execution

Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors during project execution.

Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design plans and quality standards.

Source and negotiate with vendors for furniture, materials, and interior décor elements.
6. Budgeting & Material Selection
-
Prepare itemized cost estimates and assist clients in selecting materials that align with the project budget.

Evaluate sample materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories for quality and design match.

Keep track of costs and timelines to ensure efficient project delivery.
