Internship oppurtunities for students in IDRBT Project Trainee Scheme
About the Internship:
The “IDRBT Project Trainee Scheme” (IPTS) offers internship opportunities for students, who have completed at least two years of graduation or are pursuing post graduation in highly reputed Institutions, to carry out various projects in the area of Banking Technology during the summer of 2018.
The Institute may offer Project Traineeships to students pursuing their graduation (after completion of a minimum of two years of studies) and post graduation in the areas of Computer Science and Information Technology in highly reputed Institutions such as IITs, IIMs, IIITs, NITs, Central Universities, ISB, TIFR, BITS, and similar Institutions
These Project Traineeships are meant for carrying out a Project in the area of Banking Technology only. The minimum duration of the Project is two months

1.Research Area: Financial Networks and Application:
- Project – 1: Prevention of Denial of Service Attacks in Software Defined Networks using P4
- Project – 2: Security in Software Defined Networks
2.Research Area: Electronic Payments and Settlement Systems
- Project – 3: 5G Mobile Technology for Smart Banking
- Project – 4: Testing Framework for Mobile Apps on the Parameters of Functionality, Security, Vulnerabilities and Convenience
- Project – 5: Evaluation of Parameters and Formulation of Metric for Mobile Apps,Functionality, Security and Convenience
- Project – 6: Calculation of Benchmarks and Relative Performance for Funds Transfer Transactions using Cryptographic Algorithms: ECC and RSA on a Mobile and on a Desktop Computer
3.Research Area: Security Technologies for the Financial Sector
- Project – 7: Biometric Template Security using Homomorphic Encryption
- Project – 8: An Interactive Tool for Designing Secure Distributed Workflows
- Project – 9: Security and Privacy Analysis of RuPay
- Project – 10: Security and Privacy Analysis of UPI
- Project – 11: Reversible Data Hiding using Artificial Neural Network Based Prediction
- Project – 12: Bio-Crypto Systems
- Project – 13: Pen-ink Differentiation for Hand-Written Document Forensics
- Project – 14: An Efficient Privacy-Preserving Data Aggregation Scheme for Fog Computing-based IoT
- Project – 15: Fine-Grained Access Control Scheme for Secure Data Sharing in Cloud Storage
4.Research Area: Financial Information Systems and Analytics
- Project – 16: Mobile Application Development for Recommender System
- Project – 17: Development of R-User Interface for Banking Analytics
- Project – 18: Evolutionary Computing for Data Clustering
- Project – 19: Banking Chatbot Development for Android Smartphones
- Project – 20: Answering Geospatial Queries in Hadoop based Big Data Environment
- Project – 21: Developing Efficient Distributed Online Algorithms for Topic Models in Scalable Machine Learning
- Project – 22: Named-entity Recognition in Mixed Script Social Media Text
Stipend: Rs 7000/- per Month
Institute provides the following facilities to the Project Trainees:
- Free Shared Accommodation Facility at the Institute's Quarters at Begumpet
- Free Lunch and Dinner Facility in the Institute's Canteen
- Library Facility during the working hours of the Institute.

During the first phase of reforms in the Indian Financial Sector, a need was felt to develop an Institute of Higher Learning, which would also provide the operational service support in Information Technology to Banks and Financial Institutions. The foundation for induction of Computer Technology in the Indian Banking Sector was laid by Dr. Rangarajan Committee's two reports in the years 1984 and 1989. Both the reports strongly recommended computerisation of banking operations at various levels while suggesting the appropriate architecture.
