Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provides support to project managers in day-to-day project administration so the PMs can focus on core duties
- Assist the PM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP’s, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules
- Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team
- Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations
- Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures
- Leads small projects/maintenance releases: fosters teamwork; drives escalation and resolution of issues
- Maintains all aspects of a given project, from requirements gathering to implementation
- Ensures that the scope of the project is defined and aligned with business priorities
- Manages risks associated with Cost, Quality, time & Scope.
- Ensures that resources are assigned appropriately
- Addresses resourcing issues with resource managers, as needed.
- Manages project budget, including variance and scope change requests, manages the budget resolution process
- Addresses cost issues, as needed
- Manages project schedules including resource assignment, dependencies, actuals and baselines.
- Proactively manage expectations and helps service managers communicate health to stakeholders
- Ensures that the necessary project artefacts and communications vehicles are provided
Experience/ Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of experience of working in an IT environment
- Enthusiastic learner
- Familiar with Agile Development and Project management practices and is able to manage small projects and serve as primary contact for the same
- Solid Administrative capabilities (note taking, budget updates, risk/issue updates)
- Ability to work with the teams to execute all stages of the SDLC process
- Coordinate support required from other IT teams, including application owners, Security, Quality Assurance, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or relevant subject area.
- Good leadership, interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
- Experience of working in a distributed, global team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven track record for working effectively with technical and business functions
- Knowledge of MS Project 2010 or higher preferred
- Proficiency with Power Point and Excel
- Understanding of waterfall and Agile SDLC methodologies required
- ScrumMaster certified a plus but not required
- PMP or ACP certification a plus but not required
