You are an iSeries AS 400 Developer, who will be responsible for management of application design, development and enhancement using ILE, RPG, CLLE, SQL and Synon. As an iSeries Developer, you will:
- Design, develop and/or re-engineer complex application components
- You will build iSeries applications using ILE, RPG, CLLE, SQL and Synon to demonstrate agile and dynamic software support capabilities for the development team
- Responsible for development, maintenance and improvement of IBM internal applications
- As part of dedicated agile team, you will be responsible for performing application development based on Agile methodologies and participate in requirements / user story analysis and design
- Complete activities related to assigned user stories based on priority
- Conduct appropriate unit test and module testing. Detect, report, investigate and fix defects in the application
- Work effectively in collaboration with other team members - as well as partners and other support functions when required
- Continuous focus on improving the applications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in application development using ILE, RPG, CLLE, and Synon
- Ability to independently analyze requirements based on given specification and come up with sound and balanced algorithmic design
- In-depth experience with using Agile lifecycle management tools like Jira
- Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Knowledge in MQ, Turnover is desirable
- Knowledge on implementing devOps
- Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
