Cognitonic Systems is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Engineer with expertise in network switches and FortiGate firewalls. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, ensuring security, and optimizing network performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure, manage, and maintain network switches, routers, and FortiGate firewalls.
Monitor network performance and security, ensuring optimal functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues efficiently.
Implement firewall policies, VPNs, and security measures to protect IT infrastructure.
Conduct regular system updates, patches, and maintenance tasks.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to optimize network architecture.
Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams.
Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and cybersecurity threats.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 years of hands-on experience in network engineering.
Strong expertise in configuring and troubleshooting FortiGate firewalls.
Experience with network switches.
Knowledge of VPN, and network security principles.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools and best practices.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA ) are a plus.
