IT Hardware Service and Sales Executive
Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled IT Hardware Service and Sales Executive to join our growing team. This role combines two key functions: providing excellent technical support and hardware servicing, and driving sales of IT hardware products such as desktops, laptops, printers, networking devices, accessories, and components.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills along with a sound technical understanding of computer hardware. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing IT hardware issues, advising customers on suitable products, closing sales, and ensuring excellent post-sale service and satisfaction.
This is a customer-facing role that requires a balance of technical proficiency and salesmanship, suitable for candidates who are passionate about technology and committed to providing outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. IT Hardware Sales

Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate IT hardware products including laptops, desktops, printers, monitors, routers, and accessories.

Demonstrate product features and explain technical specifications to customers in a clear and simple manner.

Prepare quotations, follow up on inquiries, and close sales deals effectively.

Stay updated with the latest product launches, price changes, and market trends.

Upsell or cross-sell relevant accessories and services like extended warranties, AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts), and installation support.
2. Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain long-term relationships with individual customers, businesses, institutions, and walk-in clients.

Maintain regular follow-ups with existing clients for repeat business or service needs.

Respond to customer queries, resolve complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction at all stages of the buying process.
3. IT Hardware Servicing and Support

Perform hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs for laptops, desktops, printers, and related devices.

Install and configure operating systems, software, antivirus programs, and drivers.

Conduct regular maintenance, part replacement, and upgrades for RAM, HDD/SSD, motherboards, power supplies, etc.

Support customers with technical issues via phone, email, remote support tools, or on-site visits.
4. Inventory & Order Management

Maintain records of stock levels for hardware components and accessories.

Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, or distributors to procure stock as needed.

Track warranty claims, RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) cases, and inventory returns.
5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed records of all service activities, customer interactions, and sales transactions.

Generate and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales and service reports.

Assist in invoicing, billing, and payment follow-ups as required.
6. Team Collaboration & Learning

Work collaboratively with other sales executives, service engineers, and support staff to achieve business targets.

Attend internal training sessions on new products, technical updates, and sales strategies.

Share technical knowledge and best practices with junior staff or colleagues as needed.
