Job Description
1. Asset Inventory Management
o Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets.
o Track the acquisition, deployment, and disposal of IT assets.
o Ensure accurate documentation of asset details, including specifications, warranty information, and ownership.
2. Asset Tracking and Auditing
o Implement and maintain an effective system for tracking IT assets.
o Conduct regular audits to verify the location and condition of IT assets.
o Reconcile physical inventory with records and report discrepancies.
3. Asset Lifecycle Management
o Monitor the lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to retirement.
o Coordinate with the procurement team for the acquisition of new assets.
o Plan and manage asset upgrades, replacements, and disposals in compliance with company policies.
4. Software License Management
o Maintain records of software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
o Monitor software usage and renew licenses as needed.
An additional benefit is if the candidate has experience
with IT asset management.
Problem-solving skills
Qualification: Diploma OR Degree
Specific preference Prefer BCA/B.Tech OR IT Domain knowledge
5. Documentation and Reporting
o Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of asset management processes and procedures.
o Generate regular reports on asset status, utilization, and lifecycle metrics.
o Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing asset management practices.
6. Support and Coordination
o Assist in the setup, configuration, and deployment of IT assets.
o Coordinate with IT support teams to ensure timely resolution of asset-related issues.
o Provide training and support to end-users on asset management policies and procedures.
7. Compliance and Security
o Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to IT asset management.
o Implement and enforce security measures to protect IT assets from theft, loss, or damage.
o Participate in risk assessments and mitigation strategies for asset management.
